Augment Agentic AI

I’m using an autonomous AI agent on Augment’s agentic framework, and I could really use some advice on writing strong system prompts. My aim is to guide the agent so it:

• Understands its overall goal

• Knows what steps to take (and in what order)

• Stays within defined constraints

What I’m stuck on:

1. Clarity – Am I giving the agent enough context?

2. Structure – Should I break objectives into smaller steps?

3. Tone – How do I make sure the agent stays polite and helpful?
